A letter from our Executive Director

Hi Friends!

During the past 7 years I have witnessed the generosity and support of a community without whom, The Scott-Free Scholarship Foundation would not exist; beginning with our camp partners, local businesses and individuals from across this country, who together with Scott-Free have provided more than 300+ summer camp adventures for deserving children. In 2014, we were fortunate enough to send 48 at-risk children to summer camp both within and out of NC, including our first non-native North Carolinians, who attended US Space Camp, in Huntsville, AL. For these children, a summer camp adventure is virtually impossible without the combined commitment, support and friendship of Scott-Free and its community partners. We believe that attending a summer camp helps to shape a child’s life in a positive way by instilling responsible behavior, developing self confidence and self worth, while fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance. We are realizing victories year after year as we see our alumni campers head off to universities around the country; on music, academic and sport related scholarships.

As we close out this summer and look forward to 2015, there are many exciting initiatives underway that will provide numerous opportunities to get involved. To learn how you can help Scott-Free and the children whom we serve, please visit our website at www.scott-free.org. We invite you to donate, volunteer time, skills and ideas to support the continued success of the Scott-Free mission. Contact us at 919-261-7310 or [email protected] so that we might discuss how together, we can make a difference in the life of a child.

Best Regards,
