Dear Scott-Free family,
The COVID 19 pandemic has dramatically changed our daily routines for the foreseeable future, both at Scott-Free and throughout the world. We have been in discussion with our camp partners to gain information and direction as to what they anticipate will happen to the summer camp season in 2020.
Being safe right now means everyone pitching in for the greater good and being patient. Out of an abundance of caution, Scott-Free will be holding off before proceeding with camper placements. We hope to have more definitive answers for you by the middle of May, we ask you to be patient and continue to check your emails for updates.
This is an unprecedented moment in history, SF will be working hard to keep you up-to-date with the latest developments and information regarding summer camp opportunities for 2020. Remember to visit our scott-free.org for articles that offer activities and information for parents and children during this time of “sheltering in place!”
In the meantime, let us all remember our brave first responders, those on the frontline, from the medical staff who are selflessly putting their safety at risk to care for those impacted by the virus, along with our grocery store employees, pharmacists, lab technicians, and everyone else working around the clock to keep communities moving forward during this difficult time. Last but not least, let us not forget our teachers, who continue to inspire our children. Support small businesses and service employees when possible, many of whom are sacrificing their livelihoods to protect us all.
Above all, let us be kind to each other, shelter in place, and be confident that there is a light at the end of this tunnel. As a community will get through this challenging moment together.
Stay safe and stay well!
