Welcome Campers!
Scott-Free will begin accepting applications for the 2027 summer camp season on January 1, 2027.
With the support of our camp partners, the Scott-Free Scholarship Foundation offers a limited number of summer camp scholarship opportunities to at-risk children. Applications are accepted from January 1 through January 31 for the current summer camp season. Click the CAMPER APPLICATION button below to apply. After reviewing applications for eligibility, a Scott-Free representative will notify scholarship recipients by March 31.

Things to be aware before completing the Scott-Free Scholarship Application:
• Application is now available in English and Spanish (see below).
• Parents/Guardians are required and expected to oversee the application process.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered for a Scott-Free Scholarship.

• The most recent report card and a recent photograph, of the applicant, is required and should be included with the online application or can be emailed to: leigh@scott-free.org
Returning SF Campers:
To be considered for a repeat scholarship, returning campers must complete and submit all three requirements by the deadlines below. The forms are available under the Campers menu.
• Camper Essay: Include the name of the camp attended. Due September 30 of the year the camper attends camp.
• Community Service Activity: Complete by December 31 of the year the camper attends camp.
• Community Service Essay: Describe the community service activity and submit the essay by January 5, 2027.
Include the community service recipient’s name and contact information in the Community Service Essay.
Notice to Parents of Scott-Free Campers
Scott-Free does not provide transportation. Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation to and from camp.
Scott-Free is not responsible for outstanding camp-store debts incurred by a camper. We encourage parents and guardians to discuss spending limits and camp-store expectations with their camper. Before arrival, make sure your camper knows how much money is available during the stay, and tell the camp store if you do not want it to extend credit without prior permission.
Add Scott-Free email addresses to your contacts or safe-sender list. Scott-Free conducts most communication by email. If you are not receiving our messages in your inbox, check your spam folder. After an application is submitted, Scott-Free will assume that you are receiving our correspondence.
Parents and guardians must promptly notify Scott-Free of any change to their phone number, email address, physical address, or mailing address.
Parents and guardians must immediately contact their representative at the Scott-Free Scholarship Foundation—not the assigned camp—if any foreseen or unforeseen last-minute change or complication could affect their child’s arrival at the confirmed summer camp destination.
