Welcome Campers!

On January 1st, with the support of our camp partners, The Scott-Free Scholarship Foundation will once again open its doors to offer a limited number of summer camp scholarship opportunities to at-risk children. Applications will be accepted between January 1st, 2024 through January 31st, 2024. The application can be found by clicking the CAMPER APPLICATION button below. After reviewing applications to determine eligibility, a Scott-Free representative will notify scholarship recipients by March 1st.

Things to be aware before completing the Scott-Free Scholarship Application:

• Application is now available in English and Spanish (see below).
• Parents/Guardians are required and expected to oversee the application process.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered for a Scott-Free Scholarship.
• The application is extensive and requires the completion of personal questions including:
Demographic Information
Risk Assessment, Waivers
Parent Questions
Camper Questions
Camper Activity Interest Form

• The most recent report card and a recent photograph, of the applicant, is required and should be included with the online application or can be emailed to: leigh@scott-free.org

Returning SF Campers:

The 3 requirements (below) must be completed and submitted by deadlines indicated to earn eligibility for consideration of a repeat scholarship. Forms can be found under the ‘CAMPERS’ section above.

Camper Essay (Include Name of Camp attended / September deadline)
Community Service Activity (December 31st deadline of current year)
Community Service Essay ( detailing community service activity must be submitted no later than January 5, 2024)

Contact Information for your Community Service Recipient must be included on the essay..

Notice To Parents of SF Campers:

Scott-Free does not provide transportation. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to provide transportation to and from camp.


Scott-Free is not responsible for any outstanding debts incurred in the camp store by any camper. We encourage parents/guardians to have conversations with their camper about spending limits and expectations at the camp store. Please ensure that your camper is aware of the amount of funds available during their stay prior to their arrival and inform the camp store if you prefer that no extended credit be issued to your camper without prior permission.

Check your SPAM folder for Scott-Free emails in the event you aren’t receiving emails from Scott-Free in your Inbox. Parents are required to notify Scott-Free of changes in their contact information. If there are any changes to your phone number, email address, physical address, or mailing address please contact us immediately.
